Training Commenced

Regional Wash Training 2013 commenced in Kathmandu University on 25 March 2013.

Prof. Dr. Sanjay Nath Khanal welcomed the participants and expressed his best wishes for the successful completion of the program. He anticipated that the program will be highly beneficial for the participants. Mr. Robin Lal Shrestha highlighted on why Water Aid has been collaborating with Kathmandu University for past few years. He remarked that the aim is to develop KU as a center of excellence for WASH. Dr. Bim Pd. Shrestha thanked all the stakeholders for their productive involvement in the training. He added that this year's Holi will be WASHful technological Holi.

In the opening program, Prof. Dr. Panna Thapa, Dean, School of Science; Prof. Dr. Bhola Thapa, Dean, School of Engineering; Prof. Dr. Ramesh Maskey, Head, Dept. of Civil Engineering; Dr. Nawa R. Khatiwada; Mr. Sunil Pd. Lohani, Assistant Prof., Dept. of Mechanical Engineering had graced the opening ceremony with their presence.
